It is at the Wharf that you and your date can see the life and energy of the Bay Area and it's only minutes away from other popular San Francisco destinations like the Coit Tower, the Maritime Museum and Alcatraz. Muir Woods National Monument

You've probably heard about giant redwood trees, and at the Muir Woods National Monument you can experience them up close. These red giants reach great heights and are in fact some of the tallest arbors on Earth. Don't be surprised if you find the walk through the redwood forest to be quite the romantic promenade as well. It's a great walk for San Francisco singles or tourists and if you really want to take your relationship to the next level you can even get married at the Muir Woods National Monument---with a permit of course.

A prison made famous by the likes of Al Capone may not seem like a romantic attraction for you and your special someone to visit but you might be surprised to find that whisking him or her across the bay to the island might be a "captivating" experience.
