San Francisco Tourism

If you are a San Francisco single or a guest from out of town, take time to invite a special someone to accompany you as you take a tour of San Francisco.

Fisherman's Wharf
Ghirardelli Square to Pier 39, San Francisco, CA
The Fisherman's Wharf is one of the outstanding symbols of San Francisco and is a great place to start your tour. It is at the Wharf that you and your date can see the life and energy of the Bay Area and it's only minutes away from other popular San Francisco destinations like the Coit Tower, the Maritime Museum and Alcatraz. There's no hurry on the Fisherman's Wharf. Take time to get to know your special someone even better as you walk, dine on fresh seafood, view a portion of the San Francisco waterfront and shop.

Muir Woods National Monument
Hwy 101 N to Hwy 1 exit, Mill Valley, CA 94941 - 415-388-2595
You've probably heard about giant redwood trees, and at the Muir Woods National Monument you can experience them up close. These red giants reach great heights and are in fact some of the tallest arbors on Earth. Don't be surprised if you find the walk through the redwood forest to be quite the romantic promenade as well. It's a great walk for San Francisco singles or tourists and if you really want to take your relationship to the next level you can even get married at the Muir Woods National Monument---with a permit of course.

Slanted Door
1 Ferry Bldg, #3, San Francisco, CA 94111 - 415-861-8032
After you've worked up a healthy seaside appetite, there are plenty of fine dining areas where you can enjoy a romantic evening and fantastic cuisine. The Slanted Door comes highly recommended. With an emphasis on Vietnamese cuisine and western American style service--not to mention great views of the bay--this dining experience should satisfy your eyes as well as your palate. Expect dishes like the Maple Leaf Farm, the Pan-Seared Day Boat Scallops or vegetables like the Hodo Soy Beanery Organic Lemongrass Tofu or the Local Delta Asparagus.

Alcatraz
Bay St and The Embarcadero, Pier 33, San Francisco, CA - 415-981-7625
A prison made famous by the likes of Al Capone may not seem like a romantic attraction for you and your special someone to visit but you might be surprised to find that whisking him or her across the bay to the island might be a "captivating" experience. After all, Alcatraz is a part of San Francisco's history and an attraction that you won't want to miss.

Top of the Mark
1 Nob Hill, InterContinental Mark Hopkins, San Francisco, CA 94108 - 415-616-6916
If nightlife is the life that captivates you and that certain someone, then take a look at the Top of the Mark lounge. With a view that allows you to glimpse sunsets that are apparently breathtaking, and a chance to sit back and sip the nectars of San Francisco, you and your date can sit back and take it easy. Entertainment is also provided.
